The order was passed by the district magistrate RM Kurbah after it had come to her notice that some organizations were planning to organize a Gau Dhwaj Sthapana Bharat yatra in Shillong on October 2 and that the organizers did not seek permission for carrying out the yatra.
The opposition Voice People's Party (VPP) on Monday asked the state government not to give permission for the Gau Dhwaj Sthapana Bharat Yatra proposed to be held on October 2.
