The Post Graduate Students’ Union (PGSU), Gauhati University, has expressed deep shock and dismay over the recent assault of Dr. Alok Singh, an Assistant Professor in the Hindi Department of North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), in his office.
The event served as a crucial platform for students, professionals, policymakers, and changemakers to discuss the evolving role of social work, the importance of formal education in the field, and the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in sustainable development.
As per the notification, the female students enrolled in the university and its affiliated colleges will be granted a relaxation of two per cent in the minimum class attendance as part of the menstrual leave policy.
