The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Saturday arrested 23 Bangladeshi nationals, including a tout, at Agartala Railway station for illegally entering India.
Acting on specific intelligence about the movement of infiltrators by train, the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) conducted a coordinated operation at Agartala station on Sunday.
An arms trader was arrested by the Government Railway Police (GRP) from the Silchar-Agartala Express during a routine passenger check and recovered two pistols and two magazines from his possession.
One person was detained by the staff of RPF from Jirania station on Monday evening and during search two 7.65 mm factory made pistols and four magazines were recovered from his possession said Inspector Dipak Datta of the RPF.
