Talking to reporters here on Thursday, Sangma highlighted concerns regarding the performance of officials stationed at the 'Entry and Exit Point' in Bynrihat, Ri Bhoi. He lamented the lack of seriousness exhibited by these officials in executing their duties related to influx checks.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday informed that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured to examine issues related to Inner Line Permit (ILP), inclusion of Khasi and Garo languages and others raised by the State delegation.
Talking to reporters after meeting the PM Modi in New Delhi, Sangma said the Prime Minister was ‘very elated’ to hear about Meghalaya ‘lifecycle approach’ model, wherein holistic interventions are being made to ensure that at every stage in the child's life, the government play its role in ensuring that the necessary support is given.
