The Joint Action Committee (JAC), comprising of the Seng Samla and Seng Longkmie of Umsaw Nongbri village in Ri Bhoi District on Monday condemned the BSNL for not taking any initiative to remove one tower installed at Umsaw Nongbri, which poses threat to the lives of the villagers.

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) has demanded that the salary which has been paid to Rohit Prasad, who they alleged was illegally appointed as technical officer/senior consultant, should be recovered from the salary of NEHU Vice-Chancellor Prof Prabha Shankar Shukla with no expense borne by the university.
