Jagdish Chelani, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills on Friday said that they wanted to asertain from an engineering point of view about why did the retaining wall of PA Sangma stadium collapsed on Friday.
A status report by the district administration on Thursday night stated there was no loss of life or damages to any of the house have been reported, only one vehicle has been reported to have minor damages.
The decision comes after Hub News brought to light the huge quantity of trash and waste chocking the riverbanks and spilling into the water from the Rongram market.
A magisterial inquiry has been instituted after a retaining wall of the newly upgraded PA Sangma Stadium in Tura, West Garo Hills collapsed on Thursday morning following heavy rainfall in the state in the last couple of days.
