Meghalaya Cement Limited (Topcem) has terminated the service of two of its employees for using unparliamentary words during a protest against the public hearing conducted for the expansion project of the company on August 24.

The Jaintia National Council (JNC) on Wednesday urged the respective regional committees of Assam and Meghalaya for Jaintia Hills to conduct a historical survey so that the border talks between the two States will ensure that the historical background of the Pnar community will be kept into consideration.
