The flood situation in Kaziranga National Park has taken a dire turn, with four Hog Deers dying and 167 forest camps submerged in water, as of Tuesday afternoon.
Undeterred by the damages to its camps that have been inundated by rising flood waters, Kaziranga National Park is well-prepared for the upcoming flood season with comprehensive measures to ensure the safety of wildlife, staff and visitors.
In view of the present situation, Golaghat police have restricted the movement of commercial vehicles through National Highway 37 (now 715), which passes through the KNP, urging citizens to remain vigilant and adhere to the traffic regulations to ensure the safety of both humans and wildlife during this critical period.
