Defeated Congress candidate from Karimganj constituency, Hafiz Rashid Ahmed Choudhury on Monday filed an election petition in the Gauhati High Court seeking a fresh election in 7-Karimganj Lok Sabha constituency keeping the election of BJP candidate Kripanath Mallah in abeyance.
