The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) on Wednesday said it will continue with its anti-migrant labourers drive to regulate entry of migrant labourers in the state.
The Khasi Students' Union (KSU) has announced plans to continue and intensify checks on non-tribal labourers if the government fails to address their demands for implementing a proper influx mechanism, particularly the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Act, 2016.
The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) on Tuesday sent away more than 26 non-tribal labourers who lacked work permits while working on the Nongstoiñ-Rambrai-Kyrshai road project.
