Three persons were apprehended by the police for their involvement in carrying out dangerous stunt driving at Laitumkhrah police point eight days ago, which has caused a concern to the safety of the public.
On July 8, five persons belonging to the two groups were arrested for their involvement in the recent scuffle incident that led to the torching of three vehicles at Laitumkhrah police station.
According to sources, the incident started when police allegedly refused to register a complaint lodged by a local, who was beaten up infront of the DHS office at Laitumkhrah.
According to Police officials, the fight between the two groups erupted at DHS after boys from Khasi community blocked the road towards Bhagyakul while drinking.
