Chairman of the Regional Committee for West Khasi Hills and cabinet minister, Paul Lyngdoh has said that he is in touch with his Assam counterpart for resuming discussion on the Langpih sector, which is one of the remaining unresolved six areas of difference shared between Meghalaya and Assam.
Meghalaya government has extended the deadline for report submissions by its three Regional Committees until December 31, 2024. This extension, as per a notification from the Home (Political) Department on November 13, allows additional time for progress on unresolved border issues with Assam.
