The Fire and Service department is on high alert as a massive forest fire was reported on Thursday, blazing through parts of Lumparing-Malki up to the Motinagar area. The fire is spreading rapidly due to strong winds.
In a heart-wrenching incident, the Office of the Superintendent of Police (SP), East Khasi Hills (EKH) district informed that a burnt foetus was found abandoned at Malki Khliehshnong's forest area near the catholic cemetery.
