After three months of intense ethnic violence in Manipur, good news has come for the affected citizens as the state government has decided to hand over pre-fabricated houses to violence affected people from Wednesday (August 23, 2023) onwards.
The Supreme Court directed the Manipur Director General of Police to be personally present in the Court in the next hearing and to be in a position to answer the questions of the Court.
Jeetendra Ningomba, coordinator of Coordination Comittee on Manipur Intregirty Or COCOMI said that they have declared a social boycott over the Manipur government.

The order stated, "The State Government has made considered decision to lift suspension in case of Broadband service (ILL and FTTH) conditionally in a liberalised manner subject to fulfilment of the following terms and conditions and taking up with all possible safeguards,"
According to officials, of the over 65,000 displaced people across Manipur, a large number of government employees are also displaced and have taken shelter in relief camps.
According to reports, the arms and ammunitions were looted by the militants, miscreants and the mobs after the ethnic violence broke out in the state on May 3.
