As part of the National Sports Day celebration, the District Sports Officer, West Garo Hills organised a 10k Run at the Matchakolgre L. P. School field on Saturday, which saw participation of over 500 runners from all ages.
Twelve parade contingents, including 120 Bn CRPF, 2nd MLP Bn, Goeragre, Tura DEF, NCC, Scouts & Guides, and the Band Party of 2nd Bn MLP, Goeragre, presented the March Past as a part of the 75th Republic Day celebration at Matchakolgre L.P. School Field, in New Tura on Friday.
The Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), in partnership with the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, West Garo Hills, and ICAR, KVK, West Garo Hills, has successfully conducted a Kisan Mela on Tuesday. The event, themed 'Natural Farming - A Way Forward to Sustainable Agriculture,' took place today at the Matchakolgre L.P. School Playground in New Tura.
