The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations for 2025 commenced today and will continue until February 25.
A total of 64387 students will appear for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (SSLC – Class X) conducted by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE), which begins Monday.
The launch event, held at the State Convention Centre in Shillong, brought together key stakeholders in the state’s education sector, including HM Shangpliang, advisor to the Education Department; Ambrose Ch. Marak, Directorate of Higher and Technical Education; Swapnil Tembe, State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha; and Macdonald Marbaniang, Joint Director of the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE).

Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma on Thursday asserted the need for political parties to present their respective roadmaps on what they envisioned to do for the state instead of criticising the government.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday rolled out CM IMPACT for Garo Hills to address the low pass percentage in Meghalaya, which envisions to support students, teachers and parents.
"We have identified districts where student performance, particularly in board examinations, has not been up to standard. Special programmes have been designed to address this," said Sangma.
19 years back on this day, 9 innocent souls from Garo Hills were lost to the bullets of police during the protests against the bifurcation of the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE).
