The Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) has assured to publish the marks of all the candidates of the Meghalaya Civil Service (Preliminary) Examination within 24 hours following a protest staged by the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU), which has been demanding transparency in the recruitment process.
The Khasi Students' Union (KSU) on Saturday appealed to all 13,000 candidates, who appeared for the MCS (Prelims) Examination, to join hands in ending alleged corruption in the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) by demanding publishing of their marks.
A group of candidates, who have cleared the MCS (Prelims) examination and whose names have appeared in the original list of 580 candidates, have alleged that the daughter of the secretary of the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) is among those who raised objection to the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU)'s demand for disclosure of marks by all the students.
