The Northeast Hajj Committee officials have identified the deceased as three individuals from the Barak Valley and one from the Barpeta district of Assam. The pilgrims who lost their lives are Jarina Begum from Barpeta, Salaha Begum Barbhuiya from Hailakandi, Saif Uddin Barbhuiya, and Jasir Uddin Mazumdar, both from the Cachar district of Barak Valley.
