The 53rd Anniversary of Meghalaya Statehood Day was celebrated on Tuesday in Jowai which was attended by Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma, as the Chief Guest. Also present during the celebration were Guest of Honour, Deputy Chief Minister, Sniawbhalang Dhar and Special Guests, Minister, Information & Public Relations, Ampareen Lyngdoh and Ambassador to India, Embassy of Republic of Uzbekistan, Sardor Mirzayusupovich Rustambaev.

Three officers and personnel of the Meghalaya Home Guard have been selected to be awarded the Chief Minister’s Disaster Response Medal for their outstanding service during the Meghalaya Day celebration to be held on Tuesday.
