Leader of Opposition Ronnie V Lyngdoh on Monday said he is onboard with the use of the National eVidhan Application (NeVA) to make the proceedings of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly seamless and paperless.

The Budget Session of the State Legislative Assembly will commence from February 16.

Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Thomas A Sangma, on Tuesday conducted an inspection of the new Assembly building at Mawdiangdiang and chaired a review meeting regarding the project which was attended by Deputy Speaker, Timothy D Shira, along with Dr. Andrew Simons, Commissioner & Secretary of the Meghalaya Assembly, and officials from various line departments and the Assembly Secretariat.

Deputy chief minister incharge PWD (Buildings) Prestone Tynsong on Thursday chaired a review meeting and informed that the new building of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly at Mawdiangdiang will be completed by August 2024
