The President of India Droupadi Murmu conferred Padma Shri to Silbi Passah in the field of Art from Meghalaya during Civil Investiture Ceremony in New Delhi today.
Dr. Sarbeswar Sahariah and Dr. Ilias Ali, both recipients of the Padma Shri award, officially University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) on Thursday. While Padma Shri Dr Sahariah has joined as the Pro Vice Chancellor of USTM, Padma Shri Dr Ilias Ali has joined as Distinguished Professor at the upcoming PA Sangma International Medical College & Hospital (PIMCH) of USTM.
Padma Shri recipient Pratima Baruah thanked the Central and State Government, on Saturday, expressing her pride as a child of Assam, on receiving the recognition.
