The Meghalaya Prayer Church Transformation Initiative (MPCTI) on Saturday appealed to the Centre and State to end violence and restore peace in Manipur.
A prayer for peace was conducted on Friday at Garo Hills Catholic Schools, sending a remarkable display of unity. The peace assembly was held in solidarity with the people of Manipur, who have been enduring a prolonged period of violence, and aimed to pray for an immediate end to the unrest and the restoration of peace in the region.
Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School in Williamnagar conducted a momentous prayer service dedicated to fostering peace and unity in Manipur. Led by the school principal and Parish Priest Father Anthony Thekkanath, the service took place within the school premises.
