IIM Shillong (IIM-S) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI), aimed at fostering collaboration in research and knowledge exchange. As part of the agreement, IIM Shillong will establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for North East India Studies, focusing on trade, movement, and related areas.

In a momentous recognition of leadership and contributions to the field of education, Prof D P Goyal, Director of IIM Shillong, has been conferred with the "Best B School Director" award at the BW Businessworld Business School Summit 2023.
