Vice Chancellor of the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla, on Friday appealed to all stakeholders of the University for peace, order and academic progress even as he assured to constitute a “Truth and Reconciliation Committee" to objectively review the grievances and recommend a roadmap for institutional healing.

The incumbent vice chancellor of the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Prof Prabha Shankar Shukla has extended his leave till December 13, following protests and pending of the inquiry into the alleged mismanagement and administrative failures within the university.

The North Eastern Hill University Teachers' Association (NEHUTA) on Friday slammed the vice chancellor Prof Prabha Shankar Shukla for trying to blame the association, state government, students and non teaching staff for the current crisis in the university.
