With Prof. Sherwin M. Sungoh assuming charge as the Vice Chancellor in-charge of the North Eastern Hill University, two statutory bodies of the university - North-Eastern Hill University Teachers’ Association (NEHUTA) and Non-Teaching Staff Association (NEHUNSA) – have announced their full support to her.
Prof Sherwin M Sungoh has tendered her resignation from the post of Pro-Vice Chancellor and instead proposed to function as Vice Chancellor (In-charge) of the North Eastern Hill University.
Prof. Sherwin M. Sungoh has informed that she has assumed charge as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), in response to directives from the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, and requests from State Government officials.
