The CEM also said that the committee has also decided to conduct an inspection in Iewduh for installation of a check gate to monitor the entry and exit of people and to prevent theft and anti-social elements especially during night time.
The decision was taken at a joint meeting held between the KHADC chief Pyniaid Sing Syiem and KAAC chief Dr Tuliram Ronghang in the presence of Karbi Anglong MP Horen Singh Bey. The meeting was also attended by the executive members from both the autonomous councils.

The Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), Pyniaid Sing Syiem, launched the Garbage Disposal Truck on Wednesday to collect waste from Ïewduh.
“We have already sent our proposals to the State government for final sanction and clearance,” KHADC chief Pyniaid Sing Syiem told reporters on Thursday.
