Several organisations from South Garo Hills on Friday held a peace rally at Baghmara to condemn the recent rape of four minor girls from South West Khasi Hills.
South West Garo Hills Police have registered two more cases in connection with the Chenga Benga Gang Rape and assault case, which took place on April 16 this month.
The police have apprehended four individuals, two hailing from Assam and two from Meghalaya, in connection with the rape incident during the Chenga Benga Mela at Gandhipara village near Garobadha in South West Garo Hills.
