Tripura minister and senior BJP leader Ratan Lal Nath on Tuesday announced a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh for the polling stations in five assembly constituencies which will record the highest percentage of votes in the Lok Sabha elections.
Nath emphasized that out of the total budget of Rs. 27,654 crore for development activities, the present government has designated Rs. 5608.72 crore for the tribal sub-plan, which amounts to 39.81% of the development fund, marking a historic high for tribal development in Tripura.
Tripura parliamentary affairs and power minister Ratan Lal Nath on Monday informed that the state government has ordered a magisterial probe into the June 28 chariot tragedy in which eight people, including three children, were charred to death and 32 injured.
