Five distinguished individuals from Meghalaya have been selected to attend the Republic Day Parade 2025 at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, on January 26, 2025.
They are part of a special group of 35 representatives from the Northeast, showcasing the region’s contributions to the vision of Swarnim Bharat.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma flagged of the Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) rally as a part of the 75th Republic Day festivities at the Matchakolgre L P School field, in Tura on Friday.
Three personnel, including Vivek Syiem, Superintendent of Police (City), Meghalaya, John M Sangma, AB Inspector, Meghalaya, and Teibor Sumer, Havildar, Meghalaya, were awarded the prestigious Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the 75th Republic Day.
Inspector Aniosca Basaiawmoit posted as Senior Instructor at Central Training Institute of Civil Defence and Home Guards, Meghalaya, Mawdiangdiang was awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) on the occasion of the 75th Republic Day of India.
