The mighty Services Sports Control Board were named Best Team at the closing ceremony of the 7th Elite Men's National Boxing Championship, which came to a fitting end at the SAI Indoor Hall here on Friday, as they ruled the finals and won 10 title fights.
After six intense days in the ring, the 26 best fighters have booked their places in the finals of the 7th Elite Men's National Boxing Championship, which will be held at the SAI Indoor Hall here on Friday.
The championship, which will conclude on December 1, is being organised by the Meghalaya Boxing Association (MBA) in collaboration with the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) and sponsored by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya.
They were the fighters everyone wanted to see on Monday- six-time Asian Championship medallist Shiva Thapa and 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medallist Amit Panghal - and they did not disappoint as they both won their respective fights on the third day of the 7th Elite Men’s National Boxing Championship at the SAI Indoor Hall here.
