A POSCO court in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday awarded death sentence to a hostel warden for sexually assaulting 21 minor students at a state-run residential school in Shi-Yomi district.
A man convicted by the Court of the Special Judge (POCSO), Nongstoin, for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl has been sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment.
When the two persons continued assaulting him, the minor girl’s male friend escaped from their clutches and ran towards the residential area of Risa Colony for help.
The SCPCR chairperson added that the news has shocked the people and there is a lot of grief considering the pain and agony of the victimised children.
