The students of North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) in Shillong intensified their protest on Thursday by burning effigies of Vice Chancellor Prof. PS Shukla, the Registrar, Deputy Registrar (Academics), Officer on Special Duty (Director, College Development Council), and the Guest House In-charge.
“The number of applicants is overwhelming, with 22,742 candidates vying for 445 posts,” said Comingone Ymbon, Minister in charge of the Civil Defence and Home Guards Department.
The book fair will be held on November 6 -7 at the Multi-Use Convention Hall of NEHU’s Shillong Campus. The NEHU Book Fair will be formally inaugurated by NEHU VC Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla.
