Hundreds of people defied curfew orders and took out a mass silent protest rally on Tuesday seeking justice regarding ongoing communal violence in Manipur.
The TIPRA Women Federation (TWF), women organisations of the main opposition TIPRA Motha Party, staged a silent protest torch rally in Agartala on Thursday evening.
This disqualification came after the Gujarat High Court declined to stay his conviction in a 2019 defamation case related to his “Modi surname” remarks.
