The All Meghalaya SSA School Teachers’ Association (AMSSASTA) and the All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers’ Association (AGHSSASTA) on Thursday served an ultimatum to the state government to consider enhancing salary of SSA teachers in Meghalaya by September 30, failing which they would be compelled to launch an indefinite state-wide protest.
The All Meghalaya SSA Non-Teaching Staffs' Association (AMSSANTSA) on Tuesday called off their indefinite sit-in-demonstration after 21 days following state government’s approval of the rationalisation and enhancement of their salaries. Accordingly, the fresh base pay will be effective from April 1, 2024.
