In response to this year’s historic Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) pass percentage in MBOSE, Meghalaya Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma on Thursday announced that the government has temporarily halted admissions to educational institutions in order to implement a structured admission process and ensure no student is left behind.

The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) on Saturday declared the SSLC 2025 results, with two students sharing the top spot: Leisha Agarwal from St. Margaret’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong and Avila Kathrene P Lyngdoh from North Liberty Higher Secondary School, Jowai.
Meghalaya’s education sector has achieved major milestones this year in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination 2025 conducted by Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE), with 341 schools achieving 100% pass percentage and the overall pass percentage increasing to 87.10%.
A total of 64387 students will appear for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (SSLC – Class X) conducted by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE), which begins Monday.
