A court in Shillong has sent arrested personal security officer (PSO) of the proscribed Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) Storgy Lyngdoh to 14 days judicial custody.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday assured that the government is taking steps to ensure extortion activities by the banned Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) are put to a stop in the state.
Storgy Lyngdoh was arrested in the early hours of Saturday from his house in Mawlynrei, Khliehshnong in East Khasi Hills for his alleged involvement in serving extortion notices to several business houses in the city.
