Social organization Thma U Rangli Juki (TUR) on Tuesday termed Meghalaya Communication Policy 2024 as “arbitrary” as it infringes on freedom of expression and press freedom.
The Thma U Rangli Juki (TUR) on Thursday demanded the state government to ban the proposed ‘cow protection march’ by the Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati in Shillong on October 2.
In a statement, TUR leader Angela Rangad said this incident follows the gruesome attack at Ichamati and also incidents of blatant threats to labourers at Sohra.
