In the wake of the shocking triple murder in Thowai village, Ukhrul district, protests have erupted in Hill areas dominated by the Kuki-Zo community in Manipur, demanding reimplementation of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA).
According to official sources within the Army and police, the clash erupted in the early hours of the morning at Thowai village, situated near Litan in Ukhrul district.
