MHA appeals to  ITLF to postpone last rites of mortal remains of the people killed in Manipur ethnic clash

In a letter to the tribal body, the Indigenous Tribal Leaders' Forum (ITLF), the Union Ministry of Home Affairs has appealed to postpone the ceremony of the last rites of the mortal remains of those killed in Manipur's ethnic violence to a later date.

MHA asks Manipur and Mizoram to identify and record biometric details of ‘illegal migrants’

It is to be mentioned that Manipur and Mizoram governments have already appointed nodal officers to undertake the process to capture biographic and biometric details of ‘illegal migrants’ in their states; and nearly 2,500 illegal migrants have been identified so far.
