A two-day national workshop on "Building a Strong Foundation: Understanding the National Curriculum Framework of NEP 2020 on Early Childhood Care and Education (NCFECCE)" was inaugurated on Tuesday at the College of Community Science (CCS) in Tura in West Garo Hills.
A two-day national workshop on “Integrating Indian Knowledge System in Researches in Social Science and Humanities” got underway in the city on Friday. The workshop aims to build upon the Indian knowledge practices and philosophies and how to integrate them into modern education system.
Organised in collaboration with the AICRP on Sorghum and Small Millets, ICAR-IIMR, Hyderabad, the event aimed at promoting the cultivation of millets in the region as a nutrient-rich alternative to the high-yielding varieties of rice and wheat.
Dr Andrew McLean, Dr Portland Jones of the H-ELP Foundation, and Dr Bhaskar Choudhury of the Wildlife Trust of India were the key trainers and facilitators.
