Shillong, Feb 11: Over 250 residents of Mynkre village benefited from a free health and eye check-up camp organized by Taj Cement at the local community hall on Tuesday.
The initiative, called The Honest Checkup, aimed to promote preventive healthcare and provide essential medical support to the community.
During the camp, villagers received health screenings, free medicines for diagnosed conditions, and awareness on the importance of regular check-ups. The eye check-up segment offered vision screenings, prescribed medicines, and spectacles to those in need of vision correction.
Speaking about the initiative, Sanjeev Surekha, Group CFO at Taj Cement, highlighted the company’s commitment to honesty and care. “Mynkre Village, like many others, has supported our journey. Through The Honest Checkup, we strive to give back in a way that reflects our core values. By addressing their health and vision needs, we hope to contribute to their well-being and empower them for a better future.”
