Guwahati, Nov 16: A teacher has been arrested on Saturday for allegedly molesting a minor in Assam’s Dhubri district.
The accused has been identified as Jahirul Islam, a teacher at a government primary school.
According to reports, Islam was accused of molesting a minor in the school on November 14.
The police registered an FIR under sections 75/76/351(c)/3 BNS 10 of the POCSO Act against the accused.
“The minor reported the incident to her parents and who approached the police and filed a formal complaint against Islam,” said a police official.
