‘Terror will now be answered with total annihilation’: Modi at Adampur

Must read

Guwahati, May 13: In his first public appearance after the high-voltage Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about a new military doctrine and a bold shift in India’s national security policy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited and interacted with the brave air warriors and soldiers at the Air Force Station at Adampur in Punjab today.

Modi’s message was unmistakably clear: India will no longer wait to be provoked—it will preempt, punish, and paralyze.

“Operation Sindoor is not just a military campaign—it is the trinity of India’s policy, intent, and decisive capability,” Modi said, marking a new red line in India’s counter-terrorism posture.

He emphasized that India will no longer distinguish between terrorists and the governments that shelter them. “If terror rises from your soil, you will bear the consequences,” he warned.

What’s new? Modi officially signalled an end to India’s strategic restraint.

He outlined three unambiguous pillars of the new response doctrine:
1. India will strike on its terms and timing.

2. Nuclear blackmail will not deter retaliation.

3. Terror sponsors will be treated as combatants.

Prime Minister publicly acknowledged that Pakistan had used civilian aircraft as cover for military installations, but India’s armed forces still executed their strikes with “pinpoint precision and complete restraint.” He praised their ability to strike deep inside enemy territory—destroying nine terror bases and eliminating over 100 militants in just 25 minutes—without collateral damage.

Modi hailed the technological leap India has made, citing the use of advanced indigenous platforms like Akash and imported systems like the S-400 to crush retaliatory attempts from Pakistan.

“Their drones, missiles, and jets failed before they could reach us,” he said.

While confirming a temporary halt in hostilities at Pakistan’s request, Modi left no room for doubt: “Should the enemy strike again, our response will be immediate, overwhelming, and absolute.”
