Shillong, Aug 23: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma joined the rest of the leaders in the country on Wednesday to express his pride in the successful Chandrayaan-3 landing on the moon.

Taking to X, CM wrote, “Chandrayaan3 made its epic landing on the moon! What a time to be alive to witness India conquer space to reach the moon! We are so proud of Team ISRO for their remarkable achievement. This is a testament that there are no limitations to where India can go. Such a proud moment for our country. ”

Ahead of the soft landing, he had said, “It’s a proud moment for every Indian, and I’m no different. And obviously, I think we will all be very proud. We have to also understand that we will be the only fourth nation in the entire world to have successfully landed in the moon. And we will be the first to have landed in the southern part of the moon,” said Sangma.

So therefore, this will be a big step for India and a very strong message at the international level about the overall seriousness of India about the capacity of India and that India is now among those top countries that have the technology to send missions to the moon, he said.
