Tura, May 24: A large tree fell on New Tura Road on Friday evening, blocking the traffic and obstructing vehicles traveling to and from Tura. Only small cars and motorbikes could navigate through the area, leading to significant traffic disruptions.
The concerned departments responded to the scene. They began the task of cutting the branches of the fallen tree to clear the road. Shortly after, the state forest department removed the debris.
Initial assessments suggest that the tree’s roots were rotten and hence it was uprooted. No human or vehicle was damaged in this incident.
