Agartala, June 23: Nine Bangladeshi nationals were detained by the Government Railway Police (GRP) at Agartala Railway station in Tripura on Sunday
According to reports, the nine Bangladeshi nationals were heading to Bangalore, Gujarat, and Delhi in search of employment.
The detained individuals have been identified as Salma Begum, Nilupa Begum, Surabhi Ali, Jannati Akhtar, Miraz Khan, Akash Haoldar, Litan Haoladar, Ripan Pramanik, and Ibrahim.
“After getting tip off, we launched an operation and nabbed nine Bangladeshi nationals, including six women and three men. They confessed that they entered with the assistance of a tout. Interrogation has been going on, and we will present them before the court,” said Officer-in-Charge of GRP Tapash Das.
“We have confiscated Bangladshi currency from their possession. They are planning to go for jobs in Delhi, Bangalore and Gujarat, ” he said .
