Agartala, July 5: Elderly woman’s body was found buried under the earthen surface of her house in Tripura.

According to reports, the incident is said to have occured in Ramthakur Para of Arundhati Nagar located in the suburbs of Agartala city in Tripura.

The deceased woman has been identified Sadhana Saha.

Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Amtali Asish Dasgupta said that the elderly woman was buried in the house by her son Asish Saha.

Reports said, the accused son is suffering from a mental condition.

The accused son buried his mother’s body inside their house instead of performing the post-death rituals, is suffering from a mental condition.

Officials also said that the man buried his mother’s body to fulfil her last wish.

The accused identified as Asish told officers that his mother wished that her body should not be taken away from the house after her death.

The incident came to light after locals noticed suspicious activities of the accused and informed the police.

Police said the mortal remains were exhumed at night and was sent for further examination.

The SDPO said that the primary information indicates that the accused son buried the body of his mother after her death.

Meanwhile, further investigation in this cae is underway.
