Tura, Aug 12: The crescendo of adrenaline and zeal, the Bilgaro 2W Rally reached its awe-inspiring conclusion as the reverberating roars of the engines subsided, giving way to the triumphant announcement of rally results.

This enthralling event was an embodiment of reverence, commemorating the legacy of the illustrious Diego R Marak, an icon whose fervour for speed adorned him both as an accomplished rally driver and an intrepid biker. Diego R Marak’s indomitable spirit propelled him beyond the confines of Meghalaya, where he revelled in the thrill of rallies, leaving tire marks on the landscapes of his dreams.

The prestigious occasion was graced by Sanjay A. Sangma, Mahendraganj MLA, whose presence infused an extra layer of significance, resonating with the fervour that defined Diego’s adventurous spirit. The parents of Diego R Marak, standing strong as pillars of remembrance, added an emotional touch to the event’s tapestry.

As the dust settled and the engines cooled, the spotlight turned towards the rally’s gallant victors, who etched their names in the annals of Bilgaro history. The triumphant procession saw the following outstanding participants securing their positions:

1st – Dean Grozier G Momin
2nd – Meban Aiboklang Suiam
3rd – Brando Marak
4th – Paominthang R Vaiphei
5th – Walmat B Marak

The first-place victor, Dean Grozier G Momin, basking in the glory of his achievement, told Hub News, “I am emotional as of now. I am very happy. The rally was very tough; one of the toughest” His fervour undiminished, he confidently exclaimed, “I will participate next year also.”

Meanwhile, Aneesh M Sangma, the Secretary of the Tura Motorsports Club (TMSC), announced that the main event of TMSC, Bilgaro 2023, four wheeler event will be organised by the end of this year.

The Bilgaro 2W Rally, a fitting tribute to Diego R Marak’s fervour for velocity, unfolded with a symphony of engines and crowned champions who, like him, dare to dream beyond horizons, conquering tracks and leaving legacies. With the echo of victory reverberating and the scent of burning rubber lingering in the air, Bilgaro 2W’s exuberant chapter reaches its conclusion, igniting the fiery anticipation for what lies ahead on the turbo-charged journey of motorsports.
