Tura, June 21: Music enthusiasts in Tura were treated to a spectacular celebration of World Music Day as the District Auditorium came alive with electrifying performances by renowned bands. The event, organized by the Durama Association of Music and Arts (DAMA) in collaboration with PRIME Meghalaya, proved to be a feast for the senses, showcasing the diverse musical talent that the region has to offer.

The stage was set ablaze by an impressive lineup of bands, each bringing their unique flair and sound. Saldorik, Chennie, Amva, Enosh, Wangkimit, THE DO.POS, Nokpante, Mangnok, Snam X Kohobodi, G-Hills Finest, and Amo Daring took turns captivating the audience with their mesmerizing performances. From pulsating beats to soulful melodies, the air was filled with an eclectic mix of genres that had the crowd swaying and singing along throughout the evening.

Adding to the festive ambiance, PRIME Meghalaya curated a delightful array of pop-up food stalls, satisfying the cravings of music enthusiasts. Attendees were treated to a gastronomic experience featuring a diverse selection of local and international cuisines. The fun fair organized by PRIME Meghalaya added an extra dose of excitement, that brought joy to people of all ages.

World Music Day is celebrated globally on June 21st each year, paying homage to the power and universality of music. It serves as a platform for musicians to connect with their audience, and for people from diverse backgrounds to come together and celebrate the magic of music.
