Tura Football League | Blue Max wins First Division; Second Division match ends in draw

Tura, June 12: Blue Max dominated WI Spirit in the First Division with a 3-0 victory, whereas the Second Division match between Doreng Sporting and Ganolgre SYC ended in a 1-1 draw.

Both the First and Second Division matches of the Tura Football League were played at the Chandmari Football Turf on Wednesday.

In the Second Division, Doreng Sporting and Ganolgre SYC entered a stalemate after their respective solitary goals, despite best efforts. The Ganolgre team scored their only goal early in the first half by Brimen T Sangma in the 20th minute, and Doreng Sporting secured their solitary goal in the 70th minute by Cherrybirth Ch Marak.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with no cautionary cards being awarded in the game.

In the First Division, Blue Max dominated WI Spirit with a 3-0 victory. Matsrang M Sangma opened the scoring for Blue Max in the 32nd minute, followed by Tengkrim Marak finding the back of the net in the 38th minute, swiftly setting up a 2-0 lead in the first half.

Coming from break, Blue Max added another lead in their scorecard with Dera Marak’s goal in the 60th minute. WI Spirit, despite their utmost effort, struggled at converting their chances and connecting their passes.

The match ended with a 3-0 win for Blue Max against WI Spirit, and no cautionary cards being awarded in the game.

On Thursday, Dalu United will be facing Chada United SA in the Second Division, and in the First Division, A.Balmikka GSC will be locking horns with Babelapara SYC; both matches will be played at the Chandmari Football Turf subsequently.
